How does Bullet work?
1. Notion as CMS.
Bullet makes use of Notion as its CMS and uses Notion page organization to define website content blocks. Everything related to content and the website wireframe is managed in Notion.
2. No-code builder.
You don’t need any coding skills to launch a website using Bullet. By duplicating our pre-built templates and editing the content in Notion, you can publish your website in minutes.
3. Publishing your website.
Launching your website using Bullet takes 3 simple steps.
- Duplicate a pre-built template from Bullet's template gallery into your Notion.
- Customize the content in Notion and copy the public URL of your Notion page.
- Paste the URL in the Bullet dashboard and hit “Publish” to go live.
4. Customizing your website.
Management of your header, footer, typography, colours, containers, domain, custom code, password-protected pages, Logo and Favicon are all managed inside the Bullet dashboard.
5. User Management
You can invite your designers and marketers to the Bullet dashboard to manage your website design, and manage your writers and editors directly on Notion.
6. SEO-Optimization
- You can write, edit, and update all the SEO information like title, meta description, meta keywords, URL slug, and descriptions directly in Notion.
- robots.txt files and Indexing/No-indexing of pages are managed directly in the Bullet dashboard.
- Sitemaps are automatically generated.

Create your first website with Bullet
Creating your website with Bullet is simple and will take no more than 5 minutes of your time. The only prerequisite to building your website using Bullet is to have a publicly shared Notion URL.
You can either duplicate one of our templates or use your existing Notion page.
1. Get the Notion public URL.
- Open the share menu of your Notion page.
- Select the "Publish" option.
- Click on the "Publish to web" button.
- Now, copy the link using the "copy web link" button.
2. Create a new site in Bullet
Sign up and create your account in Bullet if you haven’t already. Now create a new site in the bullet dashboard and fill in the necessary details.
- Name of the site
- Sub-domain name to create a <subdomain>.bullet.site website. You can connect your own domain at a later stage.
- Public Notion URL that you copied in the previous step.
- Then click on the "Build My Site With AI" Button.
How to use a Bullet Template
Bullet has a wide range of templates to choose from catering to different use cases. We have dedicated templates for blogs, knowledge-base, portfolios, landing pages and directories.
Now, after you have selected your preferred template, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Duplicate the template.
- Click on the "Use template" from the top right corner of the template webpage.
- Now, click on the "Duplicate to Notion" option in the 1st step of the Getting Started page.
- Next, click on the "Duplicate" option in the top right corner of the Notion page.
- Log in to your Notion workspace on the same browser if you are not already, and it will automatically duplicate into your Notion workspace.
Step 2: Customize your template.
- Once the template is duplicated into your Notion workspace, start customizing it.
- Based on the template you chose, a dedicated components page exists for each one, which shows the different types of content blocks you can build using that specific template.
- Build your notion pages using them as references.
Step 3: Copy and paste the Notion public URL
- After customizing your site, click on "Share" in the top right corner of your Notion page
- Now, select the publish option and click on click on "Publish to web"
- Next, copy and paste the published URL into the Bullet dashboard and hit Create.
Step 4: Apply design and styles for your website.
- Copy the given code from the "Getting Started" page of your template
- Open the bullet dashboard and paste it in under "Code → Head" of the site
- Publish your site from the bullet dashboard.
